Working for a living

Today I had the pleasure of doing a radio spot for Pierre's ice cream.  It was great on so many levels.  The client was there and they were wonderful.  The engineer was The Jimmy and he knows how I work.  The other talent was someone I worked with way back when at the very beginning of my voice over career.  In fact, I'm pretty sure he was one of the voices on my very first radio commercial.  One thing I've noticed since working on A to Z is that I now offer a greater variety.  When I was shooting the film, Lilith, the director said he loved all of the choices I gave him.  So at the end of the day, if he liked one take at the beginning and another at the end provided I was good with the continuity, he could have a wide variety of options.  With that said, I thought for the first time today, that instead of saying would you like something different I just tried a couple of slight variations.  At the end of the session, they did use part of one take and part of another.  I really feel like that has been a great growing experience I've gotten from Meryl and Me.

Next up, my web designer is creating a LOGO for A to Z and will incorporate in on my facebook fan page.  That means the next time I order business cards we can have the logo on them.  It's all about branding if you know what I mean.
