I have had so many questions throughout A to Z. They keep popping up. Which scene will I do? In what order? Who will shoot it? What about the editing? Where is the best location? How will I accomplish all of this with no budget? Oh, the questions and they keep coming.
So here I sit on a Sunday wondering about my next edit and my last two scenes. I even thought that maybe I should do a grand finale of X, Y and Z for February 14! Remember the J, K, L? That was a trifecta. It could be OK. What I really don't want is to put up the x scene on Wednesday morning and have it up there for only 5 days to then put up the Y scene for only a few days and follow it with Z. None of them will get their fair share of air time.
Oh and then there are the Y and Z scenes ... I sort of saved the best for last and I sort of saved the most difficult for last. The last two films are Bridges of Madison County and Music of the Heart. I originally randomly selected the Bridges movie to be the B SCENE. Can you imagine? Of the 26 films, Bridges was one of my all time favorites. I must admit now I'm a bit sick of it because I no longer watch it and get lost in the story but instead I search for the perfect scene. That kind of sucks the fun out of it. It doesn't stop me from bawling my face off when he's standing in the rain or when she gets the news that he died but it's still less fun. When I first selected Bridges, I immediately knew what local actor I wanted but he's a busy fella. LOL... since when do I call anyone fella?! Anyway, I did a shuffle and put Before and After in that slot with the idea of placing BridGes in the G spot. That didn't come out right but you know what I mean. Well, again with the busy so I contemplated the N and then decided on the Y ... Bridges of Madison CountY ... yes, that would be perfect and it appears that the busy fella is less busy. So then there was the scene. I first selected the scene in the kitchen where they argue about him leaving her behind and just using her and eventually fall into each other's arms crying. Then I thought about the rain scene but who has a rain machine? Then I thought about the scene where they first fall in love and act on it, where they dance in the kitchen. The dancing scene was so sweet and it showed them in love which is truly what the movie is mostly about, love BUT then as I began transcribing the script for that scene, it was very short and mostly consisted of making out. I immediately thought of Mom and thought, sheesh, do I want to choose that one? And so begins the long list of questions. Meanwhile, I haven't sent a script to the busy fella and although he's said he was wide open in the month of February I'm quite worried that I'll finally decide and he'll say sure, any time after the 15th. I really shouldn't put that out there but it's a question floating around. Meanwhile, I cannot get my hands on the movie itself. It's not at the library. I know I could go rent it but that has been my trick throughout this whole ordeal. I've almost spent ZERO on movie rentals. Oh well, I will drop the 2 dolla and make that decision today. Wish me luck! I will need it.
Then there's the Music of the Heart scene. I've ALWAYS known exactly which part of the film I wanted to shoot. There is a class of students in the scene I love and finding them isn't as easy as it could be. If it were the only thing I had to concentrate on, I'm sure I could do it. I even asked my facebook family their opinions and they were wonderful. They gave me a long list of suggestions that I could follow up on but what I truly wanted was for them to say I have a class for you, and they agreed to do it at your convenience. Wow, here's a question for you .. am I dreaming or what? That is what I wanted. I just didn't feel like the chase but it's on. Oh yes, it's on like Donkey Kong.
So today my goal is to select the Bridges scene, send the script to the actor and select that shoot date. Then I need to re-watch Music of the Heart and see if there's an easier scene to shoot that would require less people. That will be a huge disappointment to be perfectly honest but if I don't find one that makes me happy I will create a list from the many suggestions and make the plan to call them all Monday to proceed with my originally selected scene.
Speaking of Monday, I'll be on the internet radio again. You can click on this link and listen at 1 PM eastern time. I will be the first 15 minutes of the show. YAY! I love that part and those are questions I will actually be looking forward to ... I sure will!
