Today I did not leave my apartment, at least I haven't yet. I decided that I could take a break from my love project by simply working on PR. That's not much of a break but it does put me in a different hat. I wrote to one place who receives press releases, in LA. Unfortunately, I thought I wrote to 5 places or at least people but I was wrong so one man received 5 emails from me. He finally got sick of it and told me to stop. I then not only knew my error but felt like crap that I had offended someone very important. Luckily he wrote to me one more time apologizing for his abrupt email calling himself cranky and explaining that he was busy working on Idol, Dancing with the Stars and the summer movie releases. He added, "your project sounds like a blast" and told me to contact him after June 1 when things die down a bit. I promptly wrote him back promising that when I do contact him on June 1 it will only be once! I love that the projects he's currently working on are wildly popular. I take that as a fabulous sign.
I then abandoned that ship and decided to turn to Facebook asking for PR help and advice with Press Releases. I heard from one old college friend who apparently does PR for a living and he said that he'd be happy to read my press release and tell me where to send it, how to send it and if it actually is well written. I also heard from Julie who promises to meet for a snack and give me ideas that she has about my project. Julie is one sharp cookie, whatever that means. Can you actually imagine eating a cookie that was sharp ... sounds ouchy, but I digress. Julie is smart, and knows me and my project so I look forward to her input.
I have had the flip camera plugged into this borrowed computer all day long and so far it doesn't have a charge but I hope it gets charged soon and I can create an updated video regarding the behind the scenes or a least rehearse with it. My performance for the G scene is so important. It can't be over the top, must be funny in a very truthful way.
I still haven't heard from the "G" scene actress since I sent her the script. Hmm, I hope that isn't a bad thing. If it is, I will perform both roles and call it a day ... sheesh, I hope that doesn't happen. That's a lot of pressure.
