Lucy uses the internet

You know how I've been trying to fix my tech problems?  I've been quite creative with getting on line since I got this latest computer and cannot get internet at my place.  I recently learned that both Cafe Europa and Brueggers Bagels, right across the street, have wifi.  Today I went to Brueggers and ordered a sandwich and drink just so I could get online.  I didn't have headphones with me so watching the "I" scene edits was going to be rather public, against my own wishes.  A man walked up to me to offer me his corner booth so it would be more quiet but then I was worried that people would hear me so I saw a table outside open and thought I'd move all of my stuff, drink, computer, purse, phone, kitchen sink out to the table just on the other side of the window.  I loved the idea, no air conditioning, sun beating down, sounds good, huh?  Well, the sun has this odd habit of causing a glare and there was a woman who decided to sit right by me and have the world's loudest phone conversation, about mulch, right by me.  The least she could do was talk about something interesting!  The traffic was loud, the woman was obnoxious, the sun was glaring and I couldn't see or hear a thing.  I brought my computer, drink, phone, bag, purse and frustration out to my car.  I sat in the front seat and could still get signal so I began watching except with the windows up it was hot as you know where, in there.  I turned on the car, and the air and through the glare, watched the I scene.  How was it, you ask?  Heck if I know.  I was all crouched down and squinty and basically I was Lucy trying to get internet.

Then it dawned on me that the Pine Ridge leasing office has a great upstairs public area with a TV, movie room, and FREE wifi!  Duh, all of this time I've been driving downtown to The Reel Thing, to get online when I could have gone across the parking lot, most hours of the day.  Now, there are some drawbacks.  First, there's Peter.  He's a man I met who was also using the wifi and who insisted on changing the entire room environment to his liking.  Then there's the AC ... um, I think my nose is running it's so cold.  Plus there's the fact that I'm not alone working and I just get antsy because I want to be in an enclosed place like an office or my home.

How about we have a contest then?  We should all do some research to find the least expensive wifi for the Willoughby, Ohio area.  I only need wireless internet.  I want it cheap and hi speed.  I don't want to deal with Time Warner or AOL and I want it to be 2 dolla.  OK, maybe 22 dolla but still it needs to be light on the wallet.  Let's see what we find and by we, I mean you.  I have to get caught up on the five thousand other things that I do on the internet while I'm here in the "club house" and before I turn into ice.  Let me know what you learn.  Thanks!

God Nancy, you should write a book. I love reading your daily thoughts.
