I'm back at the "club house" and it feels nothing like a club or a house but I forge ahead. I just reviewed yesterday's post and saw about 4 typos, guess my frustration was obvious. Today, when I first arrived, I was alone for about 20 minutes. Unfortunately, two people called me and I had to take those calls since one was from Time Warner who I now must resort to for internet. By the time I hung up, Mr. Sniffles and his grandmother arrived and another guy on a phone who is going to have his entire conversation in front of all of us, plopped down. I will be escaping soon. I just don't see my patience lasting long. The downstairs conference room is looking better and better, as long as no one joins me. I'm like a magnet for annoying people, I swear!
For A to Z with Meryl and Me, I need to get the scripts for Kramer vs. Kramer and Lions for Lambs out to the two actors who will be playing those parts. I also need to be sure they have the clips to those scenes. I have to figure out where will shoot those scenes and begin scheduling. That's about all the planning for the big triple play! The actor who is supposed to do the Lions scene is in NY and will be flying in just to do the scene. I cannot pay him to do that so it's extremely generous of him. Looks like my free hotel certificate that I won at a recent event will go to him. Oh well, I might have only used that for a way out of my internet hell.
I've been searching for an email from a PR firm that I received last week. I can't find it! Where did it go? Did it disappear into the cyber trash can? I have several accounts and have checked them all, but nope, no emails so where might it be? Did I inadvertently delete it somehow? You know I've been using my phone for so much of what I type. Could this be yet another consequence of not having internet at home?
Bottom line, my peeps, I'm Blue. This is not a great time of year for me. Chris, my ex husband, died on the 4th of July and between the anxiety for anticipating my daughter's needs and my total stress of this project and it's next big promotion, I'm just not myself. I really hope when this is all said and done I can take a vacation in LA and just hike up my mountain and relax.
One bit of good news though, I just talked with the guy from Time Warner and he arranged for me to get internet at home. It seemed to go rather smoothly although I will believe it when I see it. Wish me luck!

Hey -
Hate to hear you're feeling blue. Quite out of character.
I'm blown away by what you're doing. Can't help but believe that hours and hours and hours of creativity and hard work WILL pay off.
Sushi and Asahi on me after #26 is in the can.
Thanks Anonymous but my Mama told me not to talk to anonymi ... or something like that!
Seriously though, it is out of character for me so the kind words mean a lot. Thanks again.
