L scene shoot, 48 hour film project and a Reshoot ... whew!

OK, I have a slight head ache.  I think it's because my head is swimming with oh my and how am I going to do this and what have I gotten myself into kinds of thoughts.  It's all good though.  You know there are times of frenzy and this is one of them.

Today we shoot the L scene.  I'm confident it will be really good.  I have a great feeling about it.  Greg Violand is playing opposite me and he's doing a wonderful job.  We are shooting at the AFTRA office, thanks to the very sweet and awesome Cathy Nowlin.  We are going to knock it out of the park and not have people walking through our shot.  My only concern is that the space is a bit cramped but we will make it work, because that's how we roll!

Unfortunately, we have to re-shoot the K scene.  After seeing the footage, I determined that the quality of it wasn't up to par.  There were people walking through the shots and sound issues and it really effected our flow.  I can't believe I'm going to re-shoot, thereby causing the launch of JKL to be put off by a couple of days but this project is nothing if not unpredictable.  I'm just trying to put out the fires as they happen and I feel like it's going pretty well.  THEN, I remembered that originally I asked Vic who acted in the K scene, to do the V scene.  Vic is so perfect for the V scene.  V is for VIC! I don't want to use anyone else for that part so I asked him if he would commit to yet another shoot and promise to do that instead.  This put me in the position of having to recast the Dustin Hoffman role in Kramer vs Kramer.  I don't care though because a re-shoot had to be done and I think in the long run I would really regret not using Vic in She Devil which is the wild card for the V scene.  By the way, you might be thinking why not use him in both.  Well, I've made this commitment to not duplicate on screen talent so that I can invite more people to be part of this and I really want to stick to that.  So far, so good.

So what's the 48 hour film project?  It's not a Nancy T production.  It's a Cleveland project where teams get together to make a short film in 48 hours.  They receive a genre which is picked randomly (you know I can appreciate that) and then they write, cast, produce, shoot and edit it all in 48 hours.  That means no sleep ... and can you believe I was eager to do it?!  NO SLEEP?!!!!!   I can do it.  I'm just going to nap all day before we meet.  Also, since the 48 hours begin tomorrow night that means that I had to tell them I have to leave for part of the time to go to my family's damn picnic.  That's what it's called by the way, The Damn Picnic.  I'm happy to say I named it but I digress.  It's a yearly family reunion and my family is Italian so if I don't want to be sleeping with the fishes I better show up!

Then on Monday or Tuesday we will do the re-shoot.  I also am searching for another location which might be something I can do while trying to stay awake during the 48 hour thing.  Hmm, we'll see.

I plan to break a leg!  Actually, I'm going to begin breaking it today and continue until Tuesday.  If I don't write after then, I might be asleep healing my broken leg!  You understand.
