After working all week to get two scenes in the can and ready for viewing AND after posting, re-posting, finding more clever ways of sending links and did I mention posting? I'm wanting to step back for a moment. I received an email from Liz, as you know, but I really feel like this time is the best time to reach out to Meryl's people, the industry and various talk shows. I mean if not at the halfway point, then when?
When I met with Julie to also discuss promotion she requested a list from me. She wanted the contact info for all of the people in the industry that I'd love to work with and I was to send that to her when I could. Well, I've sort of got a list. I know a tiny bit about how to contact some of these people and I'm like a zombie.
I need an infusion of energy! Something exciting needs to happen to take me to the next level of driven. Somehow I thought that the midpoint would feel different, I guess. I might be just a bit shocked for many reasons. When I stop and think about it truly, which is a rarity, it is kind of amazing how many scenes have been completed and what great work everyone is doing. I had ideas that this would blow up in a different way too. The outpouring of love from everyone is also very surprising. I cannot believe the support and the unexpected places from which it has come.
Yesterday, I met with a marketing friend who is an amazing person. He really thinks this blog should be turned into a book and of course a lot of the work is already done, right? Sounds good to me. I would definitely need to do some rewrites and put energy towards it but perhaps after a nap or 300, I can jump on it. I do think that this experience should be shared somehow whether it's a movie, book or motivational speech, there's something to learn here. I outta know. My brain is nearly fried with all of what I've absorbed so far.
Well, here's my M scene, if you haven't seen it. Hope it makes you smile. This whole project, experience, learning adventure makes me laugh, cry, and all the emotions in between.
