Running to The Q Shoot

Q is a wild card and the movie we are shooting is Prime.  Remember when I tried to do that months ago?  Well, the day has arrived and now to be perfectly honest I'm a bit concerned about doing it a justice.  Here's the thing, I need to appear about 55 and my other actor needs to appear about 37.  I have aged myself before but I don't want it to look like a caricature.  Another concern?  Meryl did this shtick with water in this scene.  From what I can tell by my research it was in the original script but I really love what she did and don't want to appear as though I'm imitating Meryl Streep.  Hell no, I don't.   That would be career sabotage.  So, I must recreate this role which I feel she did so perfectly that I can't imagine what I'll do, but here I go.

I am typing this in my coat, looking over at the mirror thinking I don't look 55 yet but with any luck and some makeup magic I can bring this all to life.  I'm in my coat because I was literally running out the door to find gray hairspray to make my hair look older or perhaps a wig.  Well good news is, I have a location and it's perfect.  I have my cast and crew and they are terrific.  I just need to get my own butt in gear.

Have you been watching, by the way?  Q is for quit waiting to watch and check out A to Z with Meryl and Me ... actually Q is for I've been really quiet lately, all wrapped up in the behind the scenes.  Or maybe Q is for I'm about three quarters of the way through my A to Z with Meryl and Me.  Now Meryl Streep can call me and we can chat, right?  Or maybe just some NY or Hollywood directors could call instead.  Q is for me sitting quizzically, wondering when the big, huge, major wonderful, amazing career shining moment is going to happen.

PS I'm sorry this writing is so crappy.  It's the best I could do when rushing off to my Q shoot.
